ResponderEliminarI also find it very good your activity because it uses a multimedia resource that kids love: the videos and songs.
For students it is easier to learn if they have fun.
Besides this way they learn new vocabulary naturally.

ResponderEliminarI think that the song is very well chosen: it is not only recognizable for our students and probably enjoyable by them, but also very appropriate for a listening comprehension exercise. I think that words are pronounced very clearly and, thus, our students won't find it impossible to understand (as it sometimes happens with other songs!). I also like the words you've chosen for them to try to understand (I think they would know them and probably be able to recognize them!), and you also ask them for 2-3 words per verse, which I think is very appropriate because it gives them time to write the word if they understand it, write it, and then be ready to listen to the next one.
So, congratulations! I think this would be a very interesting listening activity! (And, if it is appropriate for the group of students, it might be a good starting point to analyse the lyrics and create a reflection about our place in the world!).

ResponderEliminarThe lion's king song is a bright idea because all the pupils know that song in spanish and being able to understand it in english will encourage them to get to know other famous songs and improve their listening and comprehension. It would have been great if you had chosen the lion king characters for the grammar or vocabulary exercises.
